Bring Me The Horizon Are Taking Fans Inside The Recording Of Their New Album

Go inside the making of Bring Me The Horizon's new album with regular video updates from the studio.

Get excited, Bring Me The Horizon fans! Amid all this doom and gloom going on across the globe right now, the band will be posting a bunch of updated videos about the recording process for their new album (while working from home remotely and self-isolating away from coronavirus, obviously).

Interestingly they've called this new project BMTH8 in a video announcing their plans, so does that mean that they consider last year's surprise Music to listen to… EP an album now? That would mean that they have seven studio albums, making this new one their eighth. Either way, filmmaker Brian Cox has revealed in a new clip:

"The guys have been at home working on BMTH8, and with the coronavirus spreading they've abandoned the studios and they've just been working from home remotely. So I'm gonna stay with them and capture them live, and we will bring you regular updates so that you can be involved in the recording process.

"You know, this is a crazy time, and we know there's a lot of people at home wondering what the hell is going on. We wanted to do something to help us get our minds off of all the chaos.

"Stick with us… we're in this together, and stay safe out there."

Watch the video below, and brace yourselves for more updates soon!

Bring. It. On.

In an update on Instagram, frontman Oli Sykes adds:

"Hey world hope everyone is coping with the quarantine o.k, shit is upside down right now…

"We were working on BMTH8 in the studio and obviously we had to abandon everything. We’ve been isolating since & are all well… so here’s our plan. Jordan Fish and our videographer Brian Cox are travelling down to Sheffield to isolate with me, we are going to continue to write at home and even record some songs, we have everything we need to create the new record.

"We want to involve you in the whole process – so from tonight, we will be sending constant updates of our progress, doing live chats and streams with you guys… hopefully to bring a bit of joy and light to you guys in these dark times."

Back in February, Oli revealed that Horizon had plans "on having music soon, to be honest".

“The concept and the idea of what we’re thinking is different every day," he continued. "We thought we might have an idea of where we want to take it, and I think there’s just gonna be a cosmic force that pulls us in different ways, so it’s gonna be unexpected again I think.”
