Bring Me The Horizon Share New Snippet Of Upcoming Album
With new single Parasite Eve already on the way, Bring Me The Horizon are now forging ahead with their upcoming album.
As Bring Me The Horizon's new single Parasite Eve fast approaches, the band are continuing to give fans further updates on what else they're doing in the studio.
Having launched a new BMTHS2 series of videos as they document work in lockdown, their latest couple of teasers have shown some pretty insightful hints at both the musical and lyrical themes that might be popping up on a new record.
In a video entitled 05BMTHS2-pls tell me why-.mp4., frontman Oli Sykes and keyboardist Jordan Fish go back and forth over a video call as they work on instrumentals and Oli pens lyrics. The working lines in this one are, 'Please tell me why / With a foot in the grave don’t tell me what I’m missing / I’ve been using again / Please tell me why I wanna jump off the bridge and go to sleep with the fish,' while a phrase in the description of the clip says call + collect me (possible song title, perhaps?).

In the following update, 06BMTHS2-im sorry-.mp4 Oli films himself singing the epic line, 'I'm sorry / Did my back hurt your knife?' – which is almost reminiscent of the lyrics, 'If I had it my way I'd slit your throat with the knife that you left in my back' from Suicide Season's Sleep With One Eye Open.

Last year, Oli explained that Horizon’s 2019 Death Stranding song Ludens “will be the first song you hear from the new record”.
“We’re not going to do an album again, maybe ever,” he said. “We’re thinking about doing shorter records. I don’t want to say we’re going to do something and not live up to it, but the plan is to release multiple records [in 2020].”
When asked if fans will start seeing a “more regular flow of music from Bring Me The Horizon”, Oli responded: “There’s all this shit you need to think about and how it’s going to sit on a 15 track album. I don’t want to do that. When we wrote Ludens, it was crazy but it was fun. We just had to write one song and it just had to serve the video game. We didn’t have to write the biggest song in the world. I just love to sit and go, ‘Let’s just write a song and not worry about how it needs to be.’”
