Carcass Announce New EP And Release New Song, The Living Dead At The Manchester Morgue

Brit death metal legends Carcass will release Despicable on October 30

Carcass have dropped a new track and announced the release of a new four-track EP, Despicable. The new song, The Living Dead At The Manchester Morgue (named after the classic 1974 Brit horror movie) is one of three brand new cuts to appear on the EP, as well as previously release tune Under The Scalpel Blade. Though a follow-up to 2013's excellent Surgical Steel is in the pipeline, as with everything else, COVID-19 has messed up the plans. Nevertheless, Carcass promised music for August, and not even a horrible disease makes them into liars...

“The Covid situation has put the release of the new Carcass album on the back burner for the time being," explains singer/bassist Jeff Walker. "Given that we said there’d be new music in August, we thought it would be cool to have a stopgap release and let you hear some of the tracks that never quite made the cut. Don’t say we never give you anything. Enjoy."

Despicable is out on October 30 via Nuclear Blast, and is available for pre-order now.
