Dave Grohl's 15-year-old daughter Violet fronts Foo Fighters at Lollapalooza

Watch Dave Grohl’s 15-year-old daughter Violet join the Foo Fighters onstage at Lollapalooza 2021 for a cover of LA punks X’s classic Nausea.

From Fred Durst's Dad Vibes with Limp Bizkit to Machine Gun Kelly's chaotic surprise set, this weekend's Lollapalooza clearly wasn't short of unforgettable moments. And Foo Fighters emphatically added to that with their headline performance on Sunday, August 1, bringing Dave Grohl's 15-year-old daughter Violet onstage to temporarily front the band towards the end of the 19-song setlist.

The frontman invited his teenage daughter out for a cover of LA punks X’s classic Nausea, following the Grohl family performance of the track on Jimmy Kimmel back in April (which also featured Dave's old Nirvana bandmate Krist Novoselic, and former Slayer / Mr. Bungle drummer Dave Lombardo). “She likes to listen to the same punk rock I like to listen to!” Dave told the crowd before the cover, also praising Violet as “the most badass person I know in my life”. Awwww!

Elsewhere in the show, Foos unleashed all the usual career-spanning hits (Times Like These, The Pretender, Learn To Fly, My Hero, Best Of You, Monkey Wrench, Everlong…), plus material from this year's Medicine At Midnight LP, their Dee Gees cover of You Should Be Dancing, and a rendition of Queen's Somebody To Love with drummer Taylor Hawkins on vocals.
