Did Flea just confirm Red Hot Chili Peppers for Glastonbury?

Will the Red Hot Chili Peppers appear at Worthy Farm this summer? This tweet might suggest so…

Rumours are flying all over the place for this year's Glastonbury festival. No sooner did Guns N' Roses' Duff McKagan seemingly self-confirm for this year's Worthy Farm weekender did Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea set tongues wagging with a cryptic tweet.

Retweeting an illustration of Glasto's famed Pyramid Stage by artist Stanley Donwood, Flea said simply 'Yes', which – judging by the resulting comments from Chilis fans – is as good as confirming an appearance.

Red Hot Chili Peppers released two full-length albums in 2022 and headlined two shows at the London Stadium alongside a night at the Emirates in Manchester. Is a Glastonbury set on the cards for 2023? Looking at their tour dates, they do have some days off in Europe around that time...

As well as the Chilis and GN'R, other rumours for Glastonbury appearances include Arctic Monkeys, Spice Girls, Roxy Music and Harry Styles. But who knows? Keep your eyes on Kerrang! for the latest.
