Foo Fighters To Take Part In New Amazon Concert Series, Holiday Plays

Amazon Music announce new Holiday Plays concert series featuring Foo Fighters, Miley Cyrus and more.

Following on from the brilliance of their Roxy livestream earlier in the month, the Foo Fighters have just announced another live endeavour: a performance for the new concert series from Amazon Music.

Dave Grohl and co. will be joining the Holiday Plays three-part concert series – hosted by Lil Nas X and also featuring Miley Cyrus and Amazon Music Breakthrough Artist Kiana Ledé – next month. Every Tuesday from December 1-15, a new set will be premiered via the Amazon Music Twitch channel, with Lil Nas X kicking off proceedings on December 1 by performing his new single Holiday, before Miley's set airs in full on the same night.

Then, on December 8, fans will be able to watch Kiana Ledé's performance, before Foos will appear on the Holiday Plays finale on December 15. And it's not just new single Shame Shame and old classics that fans can expect to hear: the rock titans are also going to tackle “an electrified cover of the Chuck Berry Christmas chestnut, Run Rudolph Run”. Wonderful.

“I can’t wait for my fans to go back to the future with me, and have the world see me perform Holiday live for the first time ever,” says Lil Nas X. “I worked with Amazon Music to create a crazy set that’s going to take everyone on a wild ride through a futuristic North Pole. It’s going to be amazing!”

“This Amazon Music Christmas special will be magical,” adds Kiana Ledé. “Reading letters from my fans, singing songs from my album again, and a very special Christmas song live for the first time, really kick-started my holiday cheer.”

Holiday Plays will go live at 8pm ET, while for UK viewers it'll premiere at 6pm the following day (so Foo Fighters' set will be on December 16 at 6pm GMT). Watch the trailer below:
