Is There A My Chem Reference In Machine Gun Kelly's New Song?

Machine Gun Kelly seemingly references My Chemical Romance in one of Tickets To My Downfall's deluxe edition tracks…

After Machine Gun Kelly unveiled a deluxe edition of his new album Tickets To My Downfall just days after the original record's release, fans instantly lost their minds over a huge collaboration between YUNGBLUD and The Used's Bert McCracken. Now, though, attention has shifted towards to another bonus track: the romantic Hangover Cure, which has a possible nod to My Chemical Romance

Of course, there are plenty of references and tributes to Machine Gun Kelly's rock heroes throughout Tickets… – from the Fall Out Boy-sampling Body Bag, to the Operation Ivy-referencing All I Know (featuring Trippie Redd). And Hangover Cure also seemingly follows suit, with a subtle lyrical mention of My Chemical Romance's iconic third album, The Black Parade.

'Ever since you walked away, I can't wait to taste your breath,' MGK sings on the song, 'Sunset on my black parade, and I can't wait to see what's next.'

We already know that the musician is a fan of the band, having literally hung from the rafters as Welcome To The Black Parade was played at Emo Nite in LA – but he's clearly putting his fandom on tape for all to hear, too. Now all we need is to dig out a Panic! At The Disco reference on Tickets… somewhere and the Emo Trinity will be complete.
