Jack Black joins high school graduation photoshoot, goes viral

Tenacious D's Jack Black proves that meeting your heroes can be a good thing, as he takes some lovely, sunny photos with high school graduates.

From hilarious quarantine dances to recreating WAP in his Speedos to performing the Mandalorian theme tune, Jack Black is no stranger to going viral on the internet thanks to the seemingly never-ending powers of TikTok. And he's caught everyone's attention once more after posing for a photoshoot with some high school graduates in Los Angeles.

As shared by @visionarydaniel on Instagram and TikTok (the latter video has over three million views), the Tenacious D frontman was spotted at the beautiful Griffith Observatory as students were enjoying their high school graduation. And not only did Jack happily pose for some memorable snaps with them all, he even suggested how he wanted the photos to be taken, explaining how the "sun would look good" on his face.

"We found Jack Black at our graduation shoot and asked if we could shoot a pic with him!" shared Daniel in the first video, before adding in the caption of the final image: "Graduated from the School Of Rock.

"Crazy how small the world is to see Jack Black at one of my photo shoots. Jack helped me reach millions of people with my work and I just wanna say hello to all my new followers! Glad you followed and stay tuned for more."

Wonderful, wholesome stuff.

Last year, Tenacious D joined forces with the likes of Susan Sarandon, Jamie Lee Curtis and Phoebe Bridgers for a politically-charged Rocky Horror Picture Show cover, encouraging people to vote left.

In 2018, meanwhile, Jack said that a sequel to the band’s iconic musical comedy The Pick Of Destiny was in the works. "I don’t know where you’ll be able to see it, but we have decided that it’s happening and it’s coming out," he announced.
