Listen To You Me At Six’s Brand-New Single, What’s It Like

You Me At Six have "combined their favourite genres" and released a new single and video, What’s It Like.

After teasing new music earlier in the week, You Me At Six have returned with a brand-new single and video, What's It Like.

According to frontman Josh Franceschi, the song is the band "flexing our creative muscles. Combining our favourite genres and bringing them together in one track. For me lyrically, it’s looking at our society in parts in 2019. I definitely feel as though we are living in a time where we’ve lost our way a little bit. There are great innovators and pioneers which we can rely on, but there is also a feeling of the blind leading the blind and a lack of humility present. Within the title and the chorus I sort of poke fun at those who are libertines or self serving – ‘What’s it like being perfect all the time?’ Life’s not a competition, but people have a tendency to play it out that way.”

Check it out below.

You Me At Six will hit Reading & Leeds at the end of August, performing alongside the likes of Royal Blood, Twin Atlantic, iDKHOW, Bowling For Soup and PUP on their respective days.

Then, in September, the band will be performing all of their singles in chronological order as they headline Gunnersville.

“We wanted to celebrate a pretty mad 18 months for us as a band so when Gunnersville approached us to headline one of the days we knew straight away what we wanted to do,” Josh says. “To celebrate the new era of You Me At Six we are going to play all our singles in order – from Take Off Your Colours to VI! It’s gonna be a hell of a night and the line-up is amazing. We can’t wait!”
