Nandi Bushell Accepts Dave Grohl’s Submission In Their Epic Battle, Wants To Do A Song With Him

Nandi Bushell says the only way to make this better is to do a song together…

Setting a better example on knowing when you’re licked than outgoing U.S. President Donald Trump, Foo Fighters mainman Dave Grohl recently conceded defeat to 10-year-old drummer Nandi Bushell, after a summer of drum-offs.

Now, the victor has sportingly accepted Dave’s submission, and reminded him that they have to do a song together.

The pair have been trading drum videos over the past two months, resulting in the Foos man writing a “superhero theme song” for Nandi. They recently met up online, with the young drummer calling it "one of the best experiences" of her life. "Dave Grohl is so awesome, kind and friendly!" she enthused. "I can't believe he wants to write a song with me and asked me to perform onstage with the Foo Fighters!"

For Dave, it was a chance to reflect on the joy music can bring – something he’s felt has been especially important this year.

"What I realised was more than any sort of technical contest, this was something that was bringing people a lot of joy at a time where everyone could use a little bit," he explained. "It actually changed the way I look at what my band does in this time."
