The fourth and final season of The Umbrella Academy will premiere in 2024

The Umbrella Academy have confirmed that Netflix’s beloved superpowered dysfunctional family will be back – for the last time – at some point next year…

It’s been well over a year now since The Umbrella Academy announced that its fourth season would also be the last, and now finally the show have confirmed it’ll all be arriving next year.

Marking the recent birthday of the Academy’s superhero family members – who were all born on the same day – it was announced that: “On October 1, 1989, our extraordinary super-powered babies were born. In 2024, they return. Happy birthday brellies.”

But, while we now know to patiently wait for season four at some point in the not so distant future, not much else has been revealed just yet. There were some fantastic new cast additions at the start of this year (Nick Offerman, Megan Mullally and David Cross), while elsewhere showrunner Steve Blackman revealed that the first episode would be called The Unbearable Tragedy Of Getting What You Want. He also confirmed the season will have six episodes, and the series finale’s title is End Of The Beginning. Oooooh…

In a statement about the whole season, Steve enthused: “I’m so excited that the incredibly loyal fans of The Umbrella Academy will be able to experience the fitting end to the Hargreeves siblings’ journey we began five years ago.

“But before we get to that conclusion, we’ve got an amazing story ahead for season four, one that will have fans on the edge of their seats until the final minutes.”
