Nirvana's Krist Novoselic Says Trump "Knocked It Out Of The Park" With Law And Order Speech

Krist Novoselić has come under fire for praising the tone of Donald Trump's "law and order" speech on Monday night.

In a post on his now-private Facebook page, Nirvana bassist Krist Novoselić praised Donald Trump for his "law and order" speech on Monday night in which he threatened protestors with the American military.

Though the musician condemned Trump for stating that he “will deploy the United States military and quickly solve the problem”, Krist wrote that the president “knocked it out of the park with this speech”, praising his “strong and direct tone”.

“I have been watching the images in the media and thinking about how polarised our country is, he continued. “I mean, even wearing medical masks in public can be seen as a political statement! The violence, (and not the protests) appear as a leftist insurrection.

“Most Americans want peace in their communities and President Trump spoke to this desire. Never mind the legal details that few understand – Trump said he would stop the violence and this speaks to many.”

In the comment section, Krist added that he voted for Gary Johnson in the 2016 U.S. presidential election, having said at the time that he would not vote for Trump or opposition candidate Hillary Clinton.
