Paramore cancel more shows but add that they will “see you in the next era”

Paramore have cancelled three more shows in March – but it’s clear that the band will be back in some way. Phew!

After pulling out of their first planned live date of 2024 recently, Paramore have just announced the cancellation of three more shows.

The trio were set to play several festivals in March – in Mexico City, Bogotá and São Paulo – but have revealed that “due to unforeseen circumstances”, they can no longer appear at any of them. Instead, they’ll be replaced by Kings Of Leon.

Do not fear, though, because as well as supporting Taylor Swift in a few months’ time, a statement from Paramore’s team intriguingly adds that: “They will see you in the next era.” (Are they referring to a whole new chapter following on from This Is Why? Or is this just a reference to the fact that TaySway’s shows are on The Eras Tour? Hmmm…)

The full note reads: “Due to unforeseen circumstances, Paramore can no longer attend and perform at Vive Latino in Mexico City, Festival Estéreo Picnic in Bogotá, and Lollapalooza Brazil in São Paulo. In their place, Kings Of Leon have been confirmed.

“Paramore thanks them and apologizes for any inconvenience.

“They will see you in the next era.”

Just over a week ago, we did get some rather more concrete activity from Paramore: it was confirmed that they’ll be appearing on a new Talking Heads covers album, Stop Making Sense, from A24.
