Slipknot's Jay Weinberg Hung Out With The 14-Year-Old Drummer Who Covered Unsainted

Remember the 14-year-old girl whose Unsainted drum cover went viral? Apparently, Slipknot did, too...

Earlier this year, the Internet was stunned watching 14-year-old Maren Alford totally crush a drum cover of Slipknot's Unsainted. Apparently, one of the viewers who saw Maren play live was Slipknot's own Jay Weinberg, who decided to be a solid guy and invited Maren backstage before the band's Dallas stop on Slipknot's current tour.

Maren posted the following on Facebook, with the caption, "Best day EVER hanging out with Jay Weinberg before KNOTFEST in Dallas! Not only is he a beast behind the kit, but he’s also the most encouraging, kind and generous guy! Really a dream come true to meet and spend time with him and the Slipknot show was INCREDIBLE! THANK YOU for everything Jay -- you’re the BEST! So much love for my SJC Custom Drums family! #jayweinberg #slipknot #sjcfamily #sjcdrums"
