Post Malone Is Headlining BST Hyde Park In London This Summer

The American Express presents BST Hyde Park line-up is getting bigger, with Post Malone headlining one day of the summer event.

London's already-huge American Express presents BST Hyde Park has just made another massive announcement: metalhead rapper Post Malone will be performing at the summer event this year.

Posty – real name Austin Post – will be headlining the summer series on July 2, while Little Mix, Kendrick Lamar, the mighty Pearl Jam, and Taylor Swift will all be performing in the days following.

It hasn't yet been announced who will be joining Post Malone on the rest of the line-up yet, but given the U.S. superstar's famous friends, it could involve any number of bands from our world. Of course, Ozzy Osbourne might be a potential option, following the pair's recent collaboration on Take What You Want – which The Prince Of Darkness absolutely loved. Green Day will have just finished up the European leg of their Hella Mega Tour around that time, and Post taught frontman Billie Joe Armstrong how to play beer pong while they were hanging out recently, so a guest appearance from the punk rock icon would be brilliant. It also looks like Yungblud might be releasing a new song with the rapper this year, and there's no doubt the Doncaster alternative star would be a great addition to Hyde Park's line-up, too. On top of all that, twenty one pilots will also be in Europe around the time of BST, and Post Malone famously joined them onstage at Leeds Festival last year, so the two acts aren't shy of working together. Could there be something in that, maybe?

Anyway, while we don't yet know who else will be playing on Post Malone's day on July 2, it's definitely worth keeping an eye on. In terms of the Pearl Jam day of BST Hyde Park – which is already sold out – the band will be joined by Pixies and White Reaper. Again, though, even more bands will be added, with the event hosting “a full supporting line-up across multiple stages”.

Tickets for Post Malone at American Express presents BST Hyde Park go on sale this Friday (Valentine's Day, coincidentally…) at 9am.
