BABYMETAL announce two-night 2024 TOUR FINAL IN JAPAN LEGEND – 43, which is described as the “final leg of their world tour”.
BABYMETAL have announced a couple of very special Japan shows to mark the end of their triumphant world tour.
The trio have been on the road a whole lot in support of 2023 album THE OTHER ONE, and will be bringing this particular tour to a close at Okinawa Convention Center across two nights. These shows go by the name BABYMETAL WORLD TOUR 2023 – 2024 TOUR FINAL IN JAPAN LEGEND – 43, and take place on Saturday, March 23 and Sunday, March 24.
Announcing the gigs, a statement on their website sums up that BABYMETAL’s impressive world tour so far has consisted of “25 countries around the world, with a total of 94 performances in Japan and abroad, and a total headline tour attendance of over 240,000 people, excluding festivals and guest act appearances”.
Now, they add, “The final leg of their world tour, BABYMETAL WORLD TOUR 2023 – 2024 TOUR FINAL IN JAPAN LEGEND – 43 will be held at the end of the tour. The announcement came with a poster for the show featuring the iconic Fox Shisa.”
This doesn’t mean that we won’t see BABYMETAL again after these Japan dates, though. In fact, the trio have confirmed a whole bunch of summer European shows, including Download Festival in June.
Speaking to Kerrang! last year about their lives on the road and everything they’ve achieved, SU-METAL reflected: “Over the past 10 years, I’ve travelled to many countries and have met a lot of people. I’ve witnessed a lot of times when music works wonders, and it is just fascinating how much influence music has on people.
“One instance I’ve seen many times is, even if people don’t speak the same language, they are able to communicate through music. Also, MOAMETAL and I have been together longer than my own family, so I sincerely think she is like my sister as we’ve shared so many experiences together through our 10-year journey.”
