Following some teasing over the last week, Boston Manor have
just returned with a brand-new single called Container.
The track is the Blackpool gang’s first since 2022 album Datura,
and frontman Henry Cox shares that it’s a “purposeful about-turn from the
darkness” of that record, thanks in part to producer Larry Hibbitt and working
out in the countryside.
Of the song’s meaning, meanwhile, Henry explains: “Container
explores the idea of second chances, the panic that sets in knowing you need to
change your world before it’s too late and you get swallowed up and lost
forever. It’s about the stagnancy of life creeping up on you and how that can
bring about change.”
