After performing a couple of new CMF2 songs live on his solo tour, Corey Taylor has announced the release of his second solo album’s first single.

The Slipknot frontman is set to drop new song and video Beyond on May 16, telling fans that he’s “So stoked for you to hear it!” As reported by Blabbermouth, Beyond isn’t actually an entirely new song – it was originally performed in 2009 with former side-project Corey Taylor & The Junk Beer Kidnap Band, but has since been reworked for CMF2.

Corey will be releasing CMF2 later this year via BMG and his new label imprint Decibel Cooper. “I can’t tell you how excited I am to be working with BMG,” he enthuses. “I haven’t felt this driven and determined since I first started out in ’99. BMG is the new bastion of rock and metal, and with them ready to go, I can tell you we’re heading for big things. Thank you, BMG!”
