Live review: Pierce The Veil, London OVO Arena Wembley
Don’t pass the nirvana – pass the champagne! Pierce The Veil’s celebration of their story so far brings deep cuts galore to Wembley, and they’ve rarely sounded better.
"Taking ourselves away and creating music allowed us to reproach and redefine the band that had been our entire lives," Crawlers reveal as they prepare to release their first new music since 2024 debut The Mess We Seem To Make...
It’s been a minute since we last heard from Crawlers, but the band have confirmed that new music is imminent.
The band haven’t released anything new since their 2024 debut The Mess We Seem To Make and in that time, they’ve gone from being a quartet to a trio after the departure of their previous drummer last September.
Over the past week, Holly Minto, Liv May and Amy Woodall have been teasing new music through a series of videos. One found them discussing how they felt to be alive right now (‘terrifying’ and ‘scary’ were among their answers), while another was about their connection to fans and a third about what those fans can expect from their music.
Now, new music seems even closer as the band have shared the story of how that music came about, which all started with a writing trip to Wales that ended up having a different purpose from what they intended.
“two years ago we went on a trip that changed the course of crawlers,” they write on their Instagram.
“the three of us went on a trip to a village, in the middle of wales, uk — we went to write music but we ended up digesting everything we have been through since we began this project .
“after consistent noise , taking ourselves away and creating music allowed us to reproach and redefine the band that had been our entire lives . it wasn’t without a lot of change , and a lot of salty sea waves but it truly allowed a reconnection to the art that at its core , is why we do this .
“now we have something ready to share with you.”
If you caught Crawlers opening for Pierce The Veil on tour last autumn, you’d have heard some new songs. According to Setlist.fm, one of these was called Afraid To Die and the other was titled Cool. Exciting things await…
