Like every single band this year, Deafheaven were forced to scrap their touring plans due to the coronavirus pandemic. And so, for fans who didn't get to see the San Fransisco blackgaze crew on the road, the band have come up with a really cool alternative: a new live album featuring the setlist they would have played.
10 Years Gone is set to celebrate the past decade of Deafheaven, and is due out on December 4 via Sargent House. Speaking about the record, George Clarke explains: “Earlier this year we intended on celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Deafheaven demo released through Bandcamp on June 1, 2010 with a tour of North America with our friends Inter Arma, Greet Death and All Your Sisters. Unfortunately, we couldn’t fulfil that tour because of fallout from the COVID-19 pandemic. To rebound from the financial and morale hit, we put together an album of the set we intended to perform.
