The Dirty Nil return with huge new single, Bye Bye Big Bear
The Dirty Nil say a loving farewell to local Canadian convenience store Big Bear – which they say “was our clubhouse, our pirate ship, our prison”.
They don't want that phone call. You want this, though…
Canadian punk trio The Dirty Nil will be unleashing their killer new album Master Volume on September 14. To get you in the mood, we've got the first play of I Don't Want That Phone Call for you right now!
The track deals with the harrowing topic of substance abuse. Typically, they haven't sugar-coated anything.
"I’ve found subtlety to be a vastly overrated quality, best left to cardigan wearing jazz tooters. We here at The Dirty Nil prefer to espouse the truth in all its brash glory and ugliness," explains frontman Luke Bentham. "I Don’t Want That Phone Call is a love letter to any individual struggling with substances of self destruction. You’re not alone, there’s help out there, friends."
