Fortress Festival’s dungeon synth offering is getting even bigger, with its dedicated stage in its venue’s theatre room now expanding to cover both days of the fest.
It’s also announced who will be performing, including the worldwide live debut of French dungeon synth revival pioneer Erang.
“This music is all my life, and I give everything I have to it. For the longest time, it has been such a solitary thing to craft. 2027 will mark the 15th anniversary of my first album, TOME I, and for the first time, I’ve decided to create a live performance around the Land of the Five Seasons,” the artist says. “Because the people who enjoy my music have been asking for this for so many years, and their support is the only thing that matters to me: the Kingdom is Ours!”
Wraith Knight’s UK debut will be taking place during Fortress Festival, which will consist of an exclusive performance of OldNick’s medieval-inspired music. Also making its live debut is Spectral Castle, who is joined on the line-up by Hole Dweller, Lord Bakartia, DragonKeep and the return of Atlantean Sword, who had to cancel 2026’s appearance.
They join an already stacked line-up, which has an astounding number of live debuts and exclusives. Emperor are headlining next year, while Fortress is also bearing witness to the live debut of Gris, a world exclusive performance from Gràb, and a special performance created just for Fortress by fantasy synth artist Dungeontroll.
Fortress will return to Scarborough Spa from May 29-30, 2027.
