Rising collective breakkaway's new single Run away with me captures, according to vocalist Jessica Li, "what it meant to be a teenager for me."
breakkaway have returned with Run away with me, their second new single of 2026.
The NYC collective’s expansive new single follows Portrait set on fire, which dropped in March and became their first release since they signed to the legendary Epitaph Records.
“Run away with me is a song I wrote at 17, capturing what it meant to be a teenager for me: struggling to feel anchored anywhere, small acts of rebellion, and friendships bigger than romantic love,” says vocalist Jessica Li. “Looking back from my early 20s, the song feels like my own coming-of-age story, full of a beautiful and tender kind of angst.”

Not much is known about the group so far, but what we do know is that they formed in 2022 and came together at a US arts academy after growing up as far afield as China, France and Mexico.
“I think for all of us it was the first time in our lives where we found ourselves in a place that music and art was OK to pursue,” Jessica says of this period.
She performs alongside bandmates Case Fadell, Romain Dammann, Jorge Gonzalez Diez Gutierrez, and Ethan Chan.
