Listen To Rob Halford Performing Hark! The Herald Angels Sing

Last month, Judas Priest frontman Rob Halford announced that he would be releasing a Christmas album, Celestial, later this month. Now, the metal god has dropped a new single from this album, a shred-metal cover of the Christmas carol Hark! The Herald Angels Sing. You can listen to it below, to gear yourself up for the holiday season way in advance.

What's probably coolest about Rob's cover of Hark! The Herald Angels sing is that it's not at all ironic. He doesn't say "the fallen angels" or inject references to other metal musicians, he just straight-up motors through it and shrieks words like 'Emmanuel.' It's basically the soundtrack to a guy in a Santa suit jumping a gingerbread house on a Harley covered with string lights.

Feel some real good will towards your fellow metalhead below:

Rob bless us, every one.
