Album review: LØLØ – god forbid a girl spits out her feelings!
LØLØ’s diaristic second album is one for fans of catchy choruses, feeling your feelings and trying to fix emotionally unavailable men.
LØLØ's come full circle after going viral for her own response to the Plain White T's classic Hey There, Delilah - “As a little kid i would listen to this song all the time and imagine what Delilah looked like… kind of insane to think she was me all along."
LØLØ first made a name for herself on TikTok when she recorded a response to the iconic Plain White T’s song Hey There, Delilah from its love interest’s perspective - and now, she’s brought that voice to a new version of the song released 20 years after the original.
The duet serves as a sequel of sorts to the original, in which Delilah and her love interest have a dialogue about their long-distance love.
‘Hey there, it's Delilah, and time are getting hard/But I believe you when you say you'll pay the bills with your guitar,’ sings LØLØ. ‘I know you could/We'll have the lifе we knew we would/My word is good.’
“As a little kid i would listen to this song all the time and imagine what delilah looked like… kind of insane to think she was me all along,” LØLØ writes on Instagram. “This song had such an impact on me growing up and im both honored and shocked the @plainwhitets trusted me to make this duet come to life.”
