Parkway Drive's Jia O’Connor Will Be Playing UK/European Shows In A Wheelchair

Not for the first time in their career, a member of Parkway Drive will be performing onstage in a wheelchair.

As the Aussie metal titans gear up to tear their way through the UK and Europe this month, the band have posted a new video of their tour rehearsals with bassist Jia 'Pie' O'Connor in a wheelchair, having ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) two days before leaving for the shows.

"Europe, we’re back!" the band say. "And so is the wheelchair…"

Of course, back in 2011, guitarist Luke ‘Pig’ Kilpatrick performed live with a broken leg – including one of the best shows of Parkway's career, at the UK's Sonisphere. So we have a pretty good feeling that this won't affect the band's run of absolutely mind-blowing performances. Still, get well soon, Pie!

If you need a reminder of how brilliant that Sonisphere show was…
