Pissjar Sans, A Punk Typeface Made Out Of Piss

Anton Bolin, graphic designer and bassist in Stockholm hardcore band Pissjar, recently made a font entirely out of his band members' piss to create a logotype for the artwork on their record Apathy and Cheap Thrills. 

Anton has now made it free to download, so you can use it “to spice up your wedding invitation, school report or use it as a logo for your shitty start-up."

“We built a custom frame and tried out loads of different fabrics, using some good pieces of worn bed sheets with the perfect absorbency to cover the frame. Then we just started to pee a lot, one letter per pee session. When the bladder was empty we had like 5 seconds to photograph the frame before it bled out. After that we vectorized the photo and edited it with a font software.”

Getting the whole alphabet out of the band took approximately six months, plus about a month or so to finish up the font, and by all accounts it was hardest to get the 'R' right. Here's a gallery of the font in action:
