With rap-rock supergroup Prophets Of Rage officially disbanded following the return of Rage Against The Machine, Long Island hip-hop legends Public Enemy are now back with a brand-new single, State Of The Union (STFU).
The DJ Premier-produced track is available to stream now, with free downloads also for fans over at PublicEnemy.com. And if the title didn't already give away the subject matter, the song's opening lyrics of, 'Whatever it takes rid of this dictator / POTUS my tail ass debator,' should give you a good idea…

“Our collective voices keep getting louder,” explains Chuck D. “The rest of the planet is on our side. But it’s not enough to talk about change. You have to show up and demand change. Folks gotta vote like their lives depend on it, ’cause it does.”
“Public Enemy tells it like it is,” adds Flavor Flav. “It’s time for him to go.”
Speaking to HipHopDX recently about everything that's going on in the world right now, Chuck D stated, “If you don’t really feel it’s conducive to say certain things, you just stay fucking quiet until you find the right words for it. And right now, there are no words for this shit. I got no voice at this moment, because every single emotion young people have is justified right now. It’s emotion.”
