Following June's excellent Nowhere Generation album, Rise Against have announced a new 'live expansion' version of the record: an EP entitled Nowhere Sessions.

The Chicago punk legends' new six-track release is due out on November 12 via Loma Vista, and consists of live versions of Nowhere Generation songs Talking To Ourselves, Broken Dreams, Inc. and the title-track, plus their 2008 mega-hit Savior, and covers of Misfits' Hybrid Moments and Creedence Clearwater Revival’s Fortunate Son.

To mark the announcement, the band have today released opener Talking To Ourselves. Vocalist/guitarist Tim McIlrath states that the song "is about watching yourself and the people around you fall into complacency. Despite your best efforts to get people’s attention, it feels like no-one is listening. Sometimes we feel the urge to do something crazy, to disturb the peace, to jostle the world around us awake. Our actions might be seen as out of the ordinary, but they are acts of desperation when all else failed."

The Nowhere Sessions EP tracklist is as follows:

1. Talking To Ourselves (Nowhere Sessions)
2. Broken Dreams, Inc. (Nowhere Sessions)
3. Fortunate Son (Nowhere Sessions)
4. Nowhere Generation (Nowhere Sessions)
5. Hybrid Moments (Nowhere Sessions)
