Royal Blood have added a new date to their upcoming Typhoons UK tour: their first show of the run will also be the first show ever at the new Swansea Arena.

The Brighton duo – with support from The Amazons – will help open the new 3,500-capacity venue in style, with Swansea Arena manager Lisa Mart enthusing: "We are really excited to be announcing our eagerly anticipated first act!

"Royal Blood are absolutely incredible and their stage shows are renowned for being full of energy and light."

Alice Cooper and Will Young are also confirmed to perform at the Swansea Arena next year, while Royal Blood will be busy with plenty of dates of their own. Following the Swansea show, they'll hit Europe and the rest of the UK in March and April, before a summer of festival dates.
