Ahead of next year’s farewell tour, Porno For Pyros played a four-song set – including new single Agua for the first time – in downtown Los Angeles…

Fresh from the release of new single Agua, Porno For Pyros hosted an intimate release party in Los Angeles last week.
The band headed to downtown LA – “where the magic happens” – to unveil Agua live for the first time in front of a select few, as well as playing Good God’s://Urge!, Tahitian Moon and an encore of Pets. “Opening up portals to new vibrations last night in the heart of the city,” they shared of the short-but-sweet show. “Welcome to the world Agua, it’s nice to know ya.” Notably, they were also joined on the night by former bassist Mike Watt.
Speaking to Kerrang! last week about the band’s upcoming 2024 farewell tour and playing live with his band again, frontman Perry Farrell enthused: “I’m jazzed, man. We, as Porno For Pyros, have this wonderful way of fusing jazz and punk together, which is right up my alley. I love the looseness of the format. You can get down with some really strong, forceful music, because we’ve got that in our bone marrow. We love charging hard – and if you do that musically, like with surfing or snowboarding, it’s like you’re taking on a giant wave or a mountain, and there’s a chance you can wipe out. There’s that element of danger that some fellas can’t get enough of, so that’s why I’m excited about getting up there with those guys. We’re challenging each other.”
