Listen to SOFIA ISELLA’s new EP, Something is a shell

SOFIA ISELLA has shared a brand-new six-track EP, Something is a shell.

The 21-year-old art-rock star has followed up last year’s I’m Camera and 2024’s I Can Be Your Mother EPs with another fascinating release that puts her completely in her own lane.

In a recent interview with ELLE, SOFIA said that Something is a shell came about by making “random” piles of music during studio sessions with producer Mr. Hudson, before she would then “take that session home, rearrange it and structure it”.

The musician says she has “this giant notebook that is brain-dumping completely”, and that a lot of her lyrics “will come from pages and pages of junk”. She adds that, “I like to take things as a puzzle and figure out what I actually meant.”
