Hear Sprints cover Le Tigre’s Deceptacon
“A dance punk classic, a constant in the tour van, and a cover we used to throw into festival sets for fun…” Listen to Sprints’ cover of Le Tigre’s Deceptacon.
Sprints have shared a new single, Better, which they say is “heavily inspired” by my bloody valentine’s classic Loveless album, as well as Big Dreams by Amyl And The Sniffers.
Sprints have just unveiled a new single inspired by both my bloody valentine and Amyl And The Sniffers.
Entitled Better, it’s taken from the quartet’s forthcoming second album All That Is Over, which is due out on September 26. Vocalist Karla Chubb reveals that the single “sounds like a love song but definitely isn’t”, and that it “explores the idea not of liking someone better, but only liking them when they’re better. It’s tough, sad, but honest and frank. It’s an old demo that was brought back in conversation by Sam and backed by Zac.
“It’s inspired quite heavily by MBV, especially the Loveless album, and has touches of Big Dreams by Amyl And The Sniffers.”
