Svalbard Will Not Be Releasing Their New Album On Holy Roar Records
Svalbard have announced that they have “severed all ties” with Holy Roar.
Following Rolo Tomassi's decision to leave Holy Roar Records on September 8, Bristol hardcore punks Svalbard have now followed suit – not only announcing that they have “severed all ties” with the label, but that they won't be releasing their upcoming third album When I Die, Will I Get Better? through them either.
“We have severed all ties with Holy Roar Records,” reads a statement shared by vocalist Serena Cherry. “Our thoughts are with the victims. We are sending all our support and solidarity to those who have suffered.
“Our upcoming new album will not be released on Holy Roar Records. We are in the process of figuring out what we can do. Please [bear] with us as we try to find a solution.”
On September 7, allegations of rape, sexual harassment and abusive behaviour were posted on social media regarding Holy Roar's founder, Alex Fitzpatrick.
In an Instagram post dated September 9, Fitzpatrick denied the allegations. He has not responded to a request for comment from Kerrang!.
