The Ghost Inside post update from the studio with Jeremy McKinnon and Will Putney

The Ghost Inside Are Working With A Day To Remember's Jeremy McKinnon On Their New Album

Last month (July 24), we reported that The Ghost Inside were writing new music, with bassist Jim Riley telling Kerrang! that they have "one [new] song that’s pretty explicitly about that feeling of living up to who you have said you are."

And now it looks like the band have taken the process even further in the studio, enlisting help from A Day To Remember's Jeremy McKinnon and Fit For An Autopsy's Will Putney.

Posting an image on Twitter with the caption "Update: Album #5", The Ghost Inside appear to be gearing up to record the follow-up to 2014's Dear Youth, and the first new music since the devastating bus crash in 2015.

Of course, this isn't to say that Jeremy or Will are actually going to feature on the album. Jeremy co-produced Dear Youth with Andrew Wade, and has other production credits with Neck Deep and Wage War. Similarly, Will Putney is one of the most sought-after metal producers at the moment, working with everyone from Knocked Loose and Vein to Every Time I Die and Thy Art Is Murder. (Check out our new video series in which we document his studio work with bands like those listed above.)

One thing is for certain, though. If The Ghost Inside are bringing in Will to steer the ship of album number five, then you better believe it's gonna be heavy.
