The Ghost Inside To Hold Fundraiser For Australian Wildfire Relief

This Wednesday (January 8), The Ghost Inside will be holding a special event to raise money for Australian bushfire relief.

Taking place at the UNFD offices ahead of their set at UNIFY Gathering on Saturday in Victoria, Australia, The Ghost Inside are inviting fans to come hang out and purchase exclusive items with a portion of proceeds going to the relief effort.

Sharing a video on Twitter, the band explain: "We threw together an event for Wednesday over at the UNFD office; we’re going to try and raise a little bit of money for bushfire relief.

"We have a couple of exclusive items for sale, a couple of shirts that won’t be available at the festival on Saturday, we’ve got a handful of records with us, we’ve got some posters from our show in LA. We’ll be hanging out taking pictures, signing whatever, and we’ll also have our backdrop for the show hanging up somewhere so you can come sign it so you can see your name in lights on Saturday at the festival."

They continue: "We’re trying to figure out exactly where we’re gonna send all the money that we pull together on Wednesday, we wanna make sure we do our due diligence and send it where it’s gonna be the most helpful, but there’s no way we could come here at this time, see what’s going on, and not try to do our part."

The fundraiser starts at 4pm on Wednesday January 8 at 24Hundred, 51 Wangaratta St, Richmond VIC 3121.

The Ghost Inside's set at UNFD Gathering will be their first show of 2020 and the second since their monumental comeback in Los Angeles last autumn, following years of uncertainty after a catastrophic bus crash.

Speaking to Kerrang! last year, the band said there will be new material ahead of their UK comeback in the summer. Keep your eyes peeled to Kerrang! for all the latest TGI news.
