Charlie Simpson has announced that he'll be celebrating the 10th anniversary of his debut solo album Young Pilgrim with a show in London later this year.

The Fightstar / Busted man will be hitting the O2 Forum Kentish Town on November 5 for his first solo live date since 2016, performing a set that will be "heavily weighted" towards Young Pilgrim material, but also some new songs, too.

"I can’t believe it’s been 10 years since I released my first solo album Young Pilgrim," Charlie says. "That album will always have a special place in my heart, as it’s the first time I had ever released music under my own name. It’s so lovely to see 10 years on how much that record still resonates with my fans. Listening to it now, really takes me back to a happy time.

"Another reason this show is going to be so special is because of the venue choice," he continues. "I saw Silverchair there in 1998, which was my first-ever live gig experience and it blew my mind! Any time I play that venue I feel a real sense of connection to it. I also haven’t played a show in nearly two years which is probably the longest I have ever not played a show since first picking up a guitar, so it’s going to feel amazing.

"Though the show will be heavily weighted with songs from Young Pilgrim, it also gives me a chance to test out some of my new songs live for the first time which I’m really excited about, I really can’t wait!"
