Evanescence have finally announced their new album, The Bitter Truth
After working on it for what feels like forever, Evanescence have announced that their first album of new music in almost a decade will be released on March 26. Having already released three songs from it — Wasted On You, The Game Is Over and Use My Voice, which featured guest spots from Lzzy Hale, Taylor Momsen and more — the announcement brings with it a fourth track, Yeah, Right.
“It’s been all year that we’ve been working on this beautiful monster,” says singer Amy Lee on creating the album in lockdown, in an interview with Metro. “I’ve just been using creativity as an outlet for all my feelings of pain, grief, frustration, longing and love, and good things, too. There’s just been so much feeling. Creativity is good for me, it’s my way out. It’s my place to embrace it and face it, but also to escape it.”
