Metallica Announce Second Annual Helping Hands Charity Concert

This March will see Metallica performing in San Francisco to benefit workforce education and fight hunger.

It’s nice to see Metallica using their powers for good. Earlier this year, the thrash metal titans donated €1.5 million to charity on tour, and returned to the San Francisco Symphony to perform for the 20th anniversary of their S&M concerts. Now, Metallica have announced their second annual Helping Hands charity show, to take place this March in San Francisco.

The show, which is sponsored by Metallica’s All Within My Hands Foundation, an organization that seeks to promote workforce education and fight hunger in America, will go down at the Masonic on March 28th, 2020. Regarding the concert, the band has released the following statement:

“Thank you to all of you from near and far, literally from all around the globe, who came to San Francisco to spend the weekend with us for the two S&M2 concerts… we’re still feeling the tremendous buzz and love from those nights! It only seemed fitting to invite you all back again soon, so we’re here to announce the date of our second annual All Within My Hands Helping Hands Foundation Concert on Saturday, March 28, 2020. Just like last year’s show, the benefit will be held at the very intimate Masonic in San Francisco.

Mark your calendars to join us and see what we’ve been up to since the Foundation formed in 2017, learn about the charities we’ve supported and the work we’re doing in local communities, and we’ll close out the night by hitting the stage for a live performance.

We hope you’ll join us again next year and keep watching here for more details coming by the end of 2019.”

Last year’s Helping Hands concert pulled in approximately $1.3 million, which went to Feeding America and the American Association Of Community Colleges.

Keep your eyes peeled for when tickets for the 2020 event are available.
