Metallica have picked out another absolute gem from their streaming vaults this week, unveiling a show from 2008 on their European Vacation Tour in Madrid, Spain.

"We are in Madrid in May 2008 at the beginning of the Death Magnetic shenanigans with a somewhat unique setlist that you’ll hopefully dig," explained drummer Lars Ulrich on Instagram at the time of the stream's launch, adding, "Happy Monday to you all."

And it's a set that will indeed brighten up your day; as the metal titans launch into the mind-blowing opening run of Creeping Death, Fuel, Ride The Lightning and Harvester Of Sorrow, they then perform Bleeding Me from 1996's Load. Shortly after that, Reload's Devil's Dance is aired, with other highlights on the setlist including Kill ’Em All single Whiplash, and the band's covers of Misfits' Last Caress and Anti-Nowhere League's So What?.

Elsewhere, there are of course hits aplenty, including Master Of Puppets, Nothing Else Matters, Sad But True, One, Enter Sandman and Seek & Destroy. Ooooft…

The show notes on Metallica's website also reveal that this show was the first time the band had been to Madrid for five years, and the first time Devil's Dance had ever been played in Spain. At the time, it was their 20th performance in the country, and seventh in the capital.
