You Me At Six unveil new single Read My Mind from SUCKAPUNCH deluxe edition

You Me At Six are continuing to chip away at new music while touring is off – and they’ve just shared a fresh single, Read My Mind.

Ahead of the release of their deluxe edition of 2021 album SUCKAPUNCH on July 2, You Me At Six have unveiled a brand-new single, Read My Mind.

Vocalist Josh Franceschi says of how the track came about: As we haven’t been able to tour because of the pandemic, we’ve been putting all our focus into writing and recording new music.

Read My Mind came from one of those studio sessions, and taps into the versatility we explore on SUCKAPUNCH – it seemed like the perfect fit for the extended edition of the album.”

Of the deluxe edition of the LP as a whole – which includes three new songs in the form of Read My Mind, Headshot and Serotonin Sz – the frontman explains, After putting SUCKAPUNCH out in January and amidst the ongoing pandemic we found ourselves in an interesting place, we can’t tour, but don’t feel ready to start a new project. We remembered there were a bunch of songs we’d made in Thailand that were kind of half completed – Serotonin Szn and Headshot – so we wanted to finish what we’d started. Being able to include Glasgow, Live from Abbey Road, with a full orchestra just really ties it all together. We feel we’ve added something to a record we’re all collectively so proud of.”
