The Pretty Reckless are playing a tiny London show next week
"LONDON we're coming home! The Pretty Reckless say as they confirm they're playing the Underworld next week ahead of their upcoming Download Festival show.
Taken from June’s fifth album Dear God, The Pretty Reckless have unveiled a dark and emotional new single, Love Me.
The Pretty Reckless have dropped a brand-new single, Love Me.
Following the brilliant When I Wake Up – and its rowdy, NSFW accompanying music video – the next preview from the band’s fifth album Dear God is another hard-hitting affair, as Taylor Momsen sings, ‘In my depression I will lie / So I can pretend I’m fine / And in my obsession, I will die…’ in the opening lyrics, before the belting chorus of, ‘So why doesn’t anyone / Love me / Love me / I just need someone to / Want me / Why doesn’t anyone care / Why won’t you answer my prayer?’
Dear God – the follow-up to 2021’s Death By Rock And Roll – is due out on June 26, and earlier this month Taylor told Loudwire Nights that, “This album has an honesty and a brutality to it that is something that I’m really proud of. It almost has this feel of it [being] directly ripped out of my diary. You’re really getting the inside of how my mind works on this one.”
