Album review: The Scratch – Pull Like A Dog
Raucous Irish buskers-turned-folk-punks The Scratch reveal their steel on metal-infused third album, Pull Like A Dog.

Following the release of last year’s fantastic album title-track Pull Like A Dog, The Scratch have just dropped a brand-new single.
This one’s called Pullin’ Teeth – and unlike its name might suggest, it was actually written pretty easily while the Irish folk-punks were on tour in North America.
“To be able to write a song that quickly and for it to feel that good kickstarted everything,” explains guitarist/backing vocalist Conor. “We’re not trying to reinvent the wheel on this album – it’s about taking the pressure off, reinterpreting ideas, and not overthinking things. It was very freeing for us.”
Pullin’ Teeth is taken from The Scratch’s new album Pull Like A Dog, which is due out on March 13 via Sony Music Ireland / Music For Nations.
