Cover your jewels, there's a new Jackass film hitting cinemas on June 26.

Ringleader Johnny Knoxville made the announcement on Instagram, presumably having discovered a bone he hasn't yet broken.

“Well a wang dang and hot damn doodle, we are starting the year off with a bang,” he wrote. “We wanted to let you know that this summer Jackass is back! We will see you in theatres June 26th. More to come but wanted you to hear it from us first!”

There is, as yet, no trailer, or even confirmation of who is in the Knoxville wrecking crew this time around. But given the success of 2022's hilarious, eye-watering return in Jackass Forever, which featured old heads Steve-O, Jeff Tremaine, Wee Man, Dave England, Chris Pontius (and his penis), Ehren McGhehey and Preston Lacey, one might assume that gang will be making an appearance.

They'll have a hell of a job going bigger, more painful and funnier this time around, where the agony was ramped up by everyone knowing that they are far, far too old for this shit. See: Knoxville taking on a bull and ending the day one brain haemorrhage richer than he started it.

And could this see the return of skate hero and OG cast member Bam Margera, who was sacked during production of Forever? Don't put anything past them…
