Twin Atlantic have just announced a special Great Divide reissue and pair of anniversary shows.
The Scottish rockers will drop the new 10th anniversary edition of their breakout record on November 21 via Red Bull, before performing it in full at Glasgow’s Barrowlands and London’s Islington Assembly Hall on December 4 and 5, respectively.
And there’s a double-whammy of celebrations, because Twin will also give 2009 debut Vivarium a vinyl release for the first time (due out on the same date as Great Divide), as well as playing it in its entirety as a ‘support’ act at the two aforementioned gigs.
“Great Divide took us all over the world and gave us the loudest sing-alongs of our lives,” says frontman Sam McTrusty. “To mark its 10th birthday, we’re reissuing it on special edition vinyl with new artwork and two bonus tracks including an unreleased demo and a live song from Glastonbury. We’ll be playing the whole record live in Glasgow and London – the two cities where it means the most.”
“This record has always been about the connection between the songs and you, the fans who gave it life,” adds bassist Ross McNae. “As a thank you, we’re also doing the first-ever vinyl pressing of Vivarium and playing it in full as our own support act. Thanks for sticking with us – here’s to another decade.”
