A couple of weeks on from the show, footage of Powerwolf’s impressive headline performance at Summer Breeze on August 18 has hit the internet – and it shows just how massive their production was.

In fact, the band recruited the services of ARTE Concert and the 0221 Mediaagentur to bring actual video game technology to the German fest, with four tracks from their 17-song set (Incense & Iron, Amen & Attack, Beast Of Gévaudan and Resurrection By Erection) featuring the use of augmented reality.

Appropriately, Powerwolf’s production hosted a giant – fake, obvs – wolf climbing and looking menacing above the stage, with fans on-site actually able to witness it. According to a press release the band ‘made history’ with this fur-fetched (sorry) feat, and of course they also brought all the usual show-stopping classics like pyro and fireworks too.
