Watch the video for Beartooth’s new single Free, which Caleb Shomo teases is “a glimpse of what is to come” from the band’s next record.

Beartooth are back with their sixth album, Pure Ecstasy.
The follow-up to 2023’s The Surface will arrive on August 28 via the band’s new label, Fearless Records, and finds them debut a bold new crimson-based aesthetic.
They’ve also released the album’s title track, which strikes quite a contrast to the album’s lead single Free. It’s slower and heavier, closer to the sound of 2021’s Below, but it’s searching for positivity amid the struggle vocalist Caleb sings about. Listen close and you’ll even hear some references to Beartooth’s early releases.

Upon releasing their previous single Free, Caleb said the new Beartooth album is “the most honest depiction of my soul I will most likely ever make.”
“Free is the start of the next chapter of my music and my life,” he revealed. “The emotional roller coaster that is living can be very complicated at times. In one day, you can equally experience pure fear and pure joy.”
Of signing with Fearless, Caleb enthuses that the label have “empowered me as an artist like nothing I’ve ever experienced. They all truly love what they do, and it shows in the work. They go about their business with humility and a hunger for joy. At the end of the day, they care about the music and supporting the people involved. Their ability to spread that support to artists and listeners alike is truly beautiful and I couldn’t be more proud to sign a deal with Fearless.”
