Black Sabbath, IDLES, Frank Carter Appear On Peaky Blinders Soundtrack

Brummie gang drama Peaky Blinders has taken TV by storm since it began in 2013, with the flatcap-wearing family becoming one of BBC's most successful shows.

Full of violence and dastardly deeds, Thomas Shelby and his brothers use their might and cunning to take control of the city and beyond. But there's more than razorblade bloodshed that makes Peaky Blinders such a hit, the soundtrack is hard to argue with.

And now, for the first time, the official Peaky Blinders soundtrack is being released on 2CD / 3LP.

Featured on the collection are Birmingham's finest Black Sabbath, alongside IDLES, Frank Carter And The Rattlesnakes, Queens Of The Stone Age, Royal Blood, Joy Division, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Nick Cave And The Bad Seeds, Radiohead and PJ Harvey.

“The Peaky Blinders story and the music we use are twins, born at the same time. It would be difficult to imagine most of the pivotal moments without the soundtrack," says show creator Steven Knight.

“I’m so glad that at last we have been able to put some of the tracks together on one album, to put the atmosphere and swagger and snarl of the show into your headphones and speakers.”

The soundtrack will be released on November 11 along with a boxset featuring series 1-5 on DVD and Blu-Ray.
