blink-182 announce more EU headline shows for next summer
After they headline Rock Am Ring/Rock Im Park and Rock For People next summer, Blink-182 have some more European shows coming up.
Travis Barker's new documentary, Louder Than Fear, is arriving this week, and its emotional trailer captures him talking about the devastating impact of the 2008 plane crash he survived.
A new trailer has landed for Travis Barker’s new documentary Louder Than Fear, which lands on streaming this week.
A decade in the making, the documentary tells the story of the drummer’s rise to fame with blink-182 and focuses closely on the impact of the plane crash he survived in 2008.
"Why am I here when everyone else isn't?" Travis is shown asking of the crash, which killed his bodyguard Charles Monroe Still Jr., and assistant Chris Barker as well as both of the pilots. Enduring 27 surgeries and burning 65 per cent of his body, he is the only person who was on that plane who is still alive, as fellow passenger Adam ‘DJ AM’ Goldstein died from a drug overdose a year later.
"I had to ask myself who I was going to be after this accident," he says tearfully later in the trailer, admitting to experiencing “the worst flashbacks” when he thinks about the crash. He didn’t set foot on a plane again until 2021 and has been living with PTSD.
There’s plenty of famous faces in the documentary too, including Travis’ bandmates Mark Hoppus and Tom DeLonge. The late Taylor Hawkins also appears, as well as the Roots drummer Questlove, Rancid’s Tim Armstrong and Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee.
