Evanescence brought their Devil May Cry single Afterlife to yesterday’s Game Awards ceremony in Los Angeles…
As teased last week, Evanescence are releasing a brand-new song for John Wick movie Ballerina – and it’s a collab with K.Flay that “shows the world what we’re made of”, according to Amy Lee…
It’s happening! After Friday’s surprise teaser, Evanescence have just officially announced their single for upcoming John Wick spin-off movie Ballerina.
The track is called Fight Like A Girl and will feature K.Flay, and the world is going to get to hear it this Friday, June 6 when the film also drops (if you’re heading to the cinema on the day, then FYI it’s the first end title song).
“Tyler [Bates] calling me up to create this song for Ballerina couldn’t have come at a more perfect time,” reveals singer Amy Lee. “I know I’m not the only girl out there ready to dig my heels in and show the world what we’re made of.
“I really wanted this song to be a collab, and K.Flay is one of my favourite artists. It is literally a dream come true to do this together!”
“Amy sent me the demo and I was immediately so energised, so inspired,” enthuses K.Flay. “I was on tour at the time, and I wrote my verse backstage after a show, when my adrenaline was still super high.
“For me, the film and the song are both about how we channel our pain and how we choose to define ourselves. What separates the hero from the villain?”
